It's Been Awhile

Man, it's kind of mindblowing to think that the second-last post was pretty much a year ago. Sheesh.

Now? What's happening now? I have no idea. Updates, I guess you'd call em. I can't sort them all, but suffice to say that they're as clever as ever.

Zero Down, 13 To Go

(I assume there's 13 more books, the site says 7...)

Holy crap. We found Book Zero. Rather, Incogneato was given Book Zero (remember Atticslueth?)

It's beautiful. It's been so long, it's like getting a heart transplant at the last minute. This is pumping new blood into Triska. With the new book came a site update, where we were actually able to talk to Iz, which is always a pleasure. In this chat, we were urged to make it real. We seemed to have ignored these messages in the past, and some are content to keep using the same game plan as before, but others feel as though we should push the game along ourselves. Iz might have possibly hinted around that we are supposed to write our own Book Thri. Some contend that this would be essentially a hijack (we're familiar with those) and others feel it's part of the game. So what do we do to make it real? More book drops? Recruitment? Personal journals? I'm up for some brainstorming to figure out where to go from here, because it was hinted by Iz there'd be a hiatus, so it might be nice if we got some work done for him during such a period.

Peace.

Summer's Almost Gone

Must update more, eh?

So summer's almost over, and I'm just now getting back into the Triska swing. Things have been slow up until recently, we got some nice new updates along with some headache-inducing data matrix's and flashy-blinky-black-boxes. As of yes the flashy-blink-black-boxes don't mean anything, but we're thinking it could be a chessboard cipher, which'd make alot of sense, but it seems like the chessboard cipher doesn't. There isn't alot of info on it online (zomg! is that possible?!) and I haven't quite figured out how to do it.

Triska has been quite slow this summer, though I'm still holding out for a full-on revival around September 13th (5 days away, people! Look sharp!) so we'll just have to wait and see

Kai, you've got mail.

Ah, the highly anicipated return of the triska-mail. This time 'round Kai is the lucky recipient. What was in it, you ask? A camera, of course. We're still waiting for them to be developped, I'll make sure to post them

Puzzles ahoy!

Ah, Triska never felt so good. We've got a generous helping of puzzles, none too tough, either, so we don't feel too stupid ;)

So here's a sort of resume of recent puzzles:

Barcode: Well it all started with that run of the mill barcode, leading us to a picture...

Mad Hatter: The picture is of Wonderland's lovable cook, the Mad Hatter. But this contorted spin on the classic character has him speaking in tongues, simplified chinese, which gives us some message about book zero and hay. Well that's nice, but our good doctor knew there was something more, she took off a layer of the image and bingo, it leads us to the next Mad Hatter, asking us the question "Why?" this is a nice easy link to...

Book Zero movie: Unfortunatly it only worked for a short time, but while it was working we saw a splendid movie of that elusive book zero. It showed every page, shot with the same grainy camera as always, but a very nice movie. It linked to...

Library Picture: The end of the barcode trail, it was just a picture of a library's book shelves that Iz manipulated a little, didn't lead us anywhere.

The head: Replacing the barcode was a mysterious white image, something faint (a head?) was visible in the backround, upon teaking it we realized that it was in fact a head, and this head (the image) was named TG. After some mumbo jumbo that I can't wrap my head around (stegging? camoflauge?) we got a text file, a nice story. I suggest reading it on IU. Well the story ties in with some director that directed the Twelve Monkies (or Thirteen Monkies, as Iz calls it), we really haven't found the signifigance of this yet (he was mentioned before, though), I'll get back to ya if we find anything on it

Braille: After the short lived head trail, we get some braille on the front page. Me and Withe translated it and it said that the book was near mount pellier street. Could it be, book zero? Who knows, this is still developing.

The Revenge of the Bar Code: Another bar code popped up briefly (this time on Moon's scribe page, rather than on the bottom of the front page like the rest) and it led us to a story, this time in audio form. I want to link to this just because I enjoyed it so much (it has some cursing it in, just to warn you)
The story of chad

There ya go, a nice little summary of what's been happening puzzle-wise recently. We also have a links page, including the blog you're reading right now *high fives blog* we did it, man!

Keep huntin ;)

Sign-Up!

Well, you triska nuts, the infamous sign-up page is back! So if there's a few lurkers out there wondering if they should join the game, now's the time! No real personal info, adress, postal code, mobile phone number (all optional) basically just things for Triska-mail.o

Hope to see some new players (like ferme_la and Red Queen)

Islington: Movie Director 2013?

Yes, I'm back. Sevral hundred dollars poorer, a bunch more "stuff" and with a sleep schedual completely messed up. So, how was it? Freaking sweet.

Anyway, about Triska. Yup, 'nother site update. Some scribes got switched around, but my favorite part is the new movie. Replacing the old Book Zero movie, we have this new...thing. It's very abstract, and very cool. It gives off a darker feel than most of Triska, it's a very cool film, it's of book zero, just like the first.

anyway, pictures to come eventually, once I finally unpack

Scribeship

Hazaa! I've become a scribe! Me, as well as some other current, new and old players have been inducted into the new and improved hall of fame. :) What an honor.

My scribe page is still a mystery, in some other pages, the wonderful triska squad (new phrase, anybody?) uncovered a few hidden messages, but so far, there doesn't seem to be anything in mine. A "No" box (with an X) and a "Yes" box (with a check) and AudioFree (a play on words of AudioSlave, I'm guessing) which is rather catchy.

Continuing on my favorite subject (me) I just came back from Ottawa today, and I'm departing for Europe on thursday, I'll post pictures from both trips then.

Good Luck, and Good Night (it's 1 o'clock, I need some sleep!)

2.5.06

Canada's Captial, then Triska's Captial

Yeah, yeah, I know. You're all tired of hearing me say this...

I'm taking a 2 week vacation, first to Ottawa with my school band, then to Europe, as part of this french...thingy... (sound like a nerd, don't I?)

So I leave this thursday, and I'm back the next monday, I have mondey, tuesday and wensday to relax (I'll be around, I'll probably post some pics here) and then thursday, I'm off again to Europe. First we hit London (Triska HQ!), then Paris, then Rome. With some stops inbetween. I get back 10 days later.

Gunna be a blast, see you all when I get back!

Lightbulbs, posters, pictures, cardboard boxes and, most importantly, NEWS

Wow, it's been an eventfull few days, let me (try to) summarize

  • A person by the name of lightbulbquest joined the forum, they found a poster in Islington (eh? eh?) that is pretty obviously triskabiblios (pictures attached)
  • Orkid updated her LJ with a nice/odd picture (attached)
  • LB (easier than lightbulbquest. Oh. Dammit) says that he saw a picture of a cardboard box on the triska site, it could be something (like where Toby went for the past few months)
  • Oh, and I got a nice comment on my last entry, thanks Izn'ton ;)

Now, purty pictures

31.3.06

Triskabiblios: Alive?

Ok, call me crazy, but Triskabiblios may have just arisen from the grave. That's right, site update. Now we're getting an image of Book Zero (the one from Toby's scribe page) with the title "One of the thirteen"

Is there a future afterall? Is all not lost?

6.2.06

Triskabiblios has died

Today marks the death of Triskabiblios, announced on Triskabiblios.com (in binary, the perfect way to go out) the message translated into

triskabiblios is over. thanks to everyone who made it what it was, and apologies for it's sudden demise. it's going nowhere, islington has disappeared, no direction for the future. i can't continue, lost focus, sorry. v13
So, the end is here, I enjoying playing(?) this game(?) with all of you, I hope that this is "until next time" and not "goodbye"

Peace.
